At Click Competitions, we believe prize competitions should be an enjoyable, affordable and responsible form of entertainment. Our competitions give you the opportunity to win exciting, potentially life-changing prizes for a relatively small entry cost, while ensuring that participation always remains fun and within your means. Our competitions also include a free entry route, so you can choose to participate without spending any money.
We are committed to promoting mindful play and encouraging participants to engage with our competitions in a balanced and responsible way. We want our customers to enjoy the excitement of taking part without feeling pressure to spend beyond what they can comfortably afford.
While prize competitions are not gambling, we recognise that spending on competitions should be managed responsibly.
This Mindful Play Policy sets out the tools and resources we make available to help you stay in control of your participation. These measures are part of our commitment to the Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators.
We encourage all players to keep the following in mind:
• Set a budget for competition entries and stick to it.
• Do not spend money you cannot afford to lose.
• Do not enter competitions to try to recover previous spending.
• Take regular breaks from entering competitions.
• Use the tools described below if you feel your spending or time is becoming difficult to manage.
We provide a range of tools to help you manage your participation. These are available in your Click Account under the Mindful Play section. The tools are designed to offer increasing levels of restriction, from light adjustments to full account closure.
You can set limits on how much you spend on competition entries over a given period. Limits can be set per day, per week, per month or per year.
Key details:
• Limits apply to real money top-ups and purchases only. Winnings, Website Credits and Promotional benefits do not count towards your spending limit.
• You may set your limit to any amount, including £0.
• After your first purchase, you will be presented with the opportunity to set a spending limit.
• Once a limit is set, any reduction takes effect immediately. Any increase is subject to a cooling-off period before it becomes effective.
You can choose to restrict your participation to specific types of competitions. You may restrict your access to:
• Instant Win competitions only;
• Prize Draw competitions only; or
• Both types (which will result in full account closure).
Restrictions can be removed at any time, subject to a cooling-off period.
If you would like a short pause from entering competitions, you can use the Take a Break feature. Available durations are: 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours, 1 week or 1 month.
During a break:
• You will not be able to enter any competitions.
• You will not receive marketing communications from us.
• The break cannot be cancelled or shortened once activated.
• Your account will reopen automatically when the selected period expires.
Please note that it may take a short period for all our systems to be updated. During this time, you may still receive some communications that were already scheduled for delivery.
If you feel you need a longer period away from our competitions, you can suspend your account for a minimum of 6 months. Available suspension periods are 6 or 9 months.
During a suspension:
• You will not be able to enter any competitions or access your account.
• You will not receive any marketing communications (email, SMS or push notifications) from us.
• The suspension cannot be reversed during the selected period.
• Your account will reopen automatically at the end of the suspension period.
Please note that it may take a short period for all our systems to be updated. During this time, you may still receive some communications that were already scheduled for delivery.
You may close your Click Account at any time. Closing your account will prevent you from participating in our competitions.
During the period your account is closed:
• You will not be able to enter any competitions.
• You will not have access to any balances, tickets or promotional benefits associated with your account.
• You will not receive marketing communications from us.
Please note that it may take a short period for all our systems to be updated. During this time, you may still receive some communications that were already scheduled for delivery.
You may request to reopen your account at a later date, by using your credentials and following the steps on the screen, or by contacting our customer support team. Reopening requires confirmation of your identity and acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you do not reopen your account, your data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To help you reflect on your participation, a self-assessment survey is available in the Mindful Play section of your account to help you reflect on your participation.
