Specification: 

First launched in 2000, the M12 was the second offering from Noble, and featured a full steel roll cage, a steel frame, and fibreglass composite clam shell body parts. As a result the M12 boasted a stated kerb weight of just 1,080kg. As the desirable GTO-3R model, this stunning example was powered by a mid-mounted Ford-derived 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, delivering 352bhp to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission with a Quaife torque-biasing differential.

As a result the Noble M12 GTO-3R was highly regarded for its incredible handling, as well as having seriously impressive outright pace. The quoted 0-60mph time was just 3.7 seconds, though when Road & Track magazine timed it the result was even quicker. Among the many adoring fans of the period was Jeremy Clarkson, who famously used a Star Wars analogy in his road test of the 2.5-litre version of the M12, stating: “It doesn’t feel like the steering wheel is connected to the tyres by anything so mundane as mechanics or engineering – it’s like driving using the Force.”
